Episode 1 of George Bailey Was Never Born brings you inside the first Wonderful Life Viewing Party that took place over the 1970s in New York City, hosted by Christopher Little & David White.  Coverage of this party by the New Yorker’s Mark Singer helped turn IAWL into a belated hit – and soon brought director Frank Capra to the final party!  Inspired by all this, we are inviting Americans to pick up the Little & White tradition and continue it in your own way.  Fill your party with like-spirited individuals and those who need the message – knowing that around your nation so many others are doing the same at roughly the same time!  

Consider using this day and this gathering to foster conversations about the problems of hopelessness, cynicism, suicide, affordable housing for working people and how your guests can become the George Bailey’s in your community.  Consider making it a small fundraiser for your local Habitat for Humanity or national AFSP Suicide Prevention (we’re not directly affiliated FYI!) or Menzo Case’s vision for affordable housing Bailey Park in “the real Bedford Falls.”  

We hope this event will continue annually from here, always on the 2nd Saturday of December.
